Description

Yeah we keep saying that. Vast majority of Reddit will not buy it. Why the fuck will EA care when they still make complete bank on the match. I’m wondering exactly what next-gen will bring to the table. The teaser trailer from a few weeks ago had a peek at the in-engine footage. EA does something many people would regard as good and people find ways to make it bad. It is not totally unappreciated, but for example, we’ve seen that with pride month. Most companies only started doing it when they knew it was fiscally safe to come out in support. Does not make it a bad thing. Look at Netflix writers. A lot of them have publicly said that they have desired x race or x-ray character in shows they have wanted to make, just for other studios to tell them to tone it down or remove it completely. Netflix does not tell these people to write stories like this, they have just given them the freedom to. Same with HBO.

Idk, how I see it, businesses are always trying to pander. Examine the”we’re going through rough times” shit we got for covid19. I don’t know why people single out Pride month pandering year in, year out. I don’t know why people single out Pride month pandering year in, year out. Because often, a bunch of companies who have supported anti-LGBT coverages, politicians, or even possibly have only been not terribly progressive in the past, all slap on rainbow avatars on Twitter and say some words that are hollow, or even worse, attempting to market pride-themed merchandise. Because frequently, a lot of companies who have supported anti-LGBT policies, politicians, or perhaps have just been not terribly progressive in the past, all slap on rainbow avatars on Twitter and say some hollow words, or even worse, attempting to market pride-themed merchandise. It’s singled out since it’s particularly clear. I believe fauxgressive is much better. Passive progressive sounds like an actual progressive thing who makes no progressive actions. Fauxgressive seems like someone pretending to be innovative. I remember reading a large section of the LGBTQ community hates how corporate Pride Parades have gotten because those businesses were nowhere to be seen when their support would have decided, particularly at the peak of the AIDS crisis.

God knows they’ve got deep pockets. Meanwhile, I do not believe they deserve some woke tokens for just not discharging a trailer. Because the majority eventually decided LGBT material was okay? I don’t hold a significant company to higher standards then my fellow Americans. But that kinda makes the”solidarity” feel somewhat hollow, no? Is it really something”good” if it’s so safe for them to perform? What? What part of this can be”great”? It’s not even an activity – it is the absence of one. It is as inconsequential as it gets – that I suppose is why it may cause a criticism, since it is a marketing ploy. And it’s worked perfectly, since we’re discussing it.
